Tibet’s Protests: WTF’s up?

They’re saying this round of Tibet protests is just as bad, if not worse, than Tianamen Square. And by they I mean jezebel, a site I read at work while my soul is being consumed with meanless menial tasks such as placating crazies who don’t know how to pay their installment loans.
I’ve got some spare time, so I am going to check out what the real deal’s up with Tibet.
I’m wondering: What set it off? Did Bjork have anything to do with it? How many casualties have there been? What’s the Unites State’s official release? Has India reacted? How cute are Buddhist monks?
2:57pm Okay. I’ve skimmed a few stories. There are many casualties; two reported deaths and an unknown amount of injuries. What started as a peaceful protest of China’s longstanding occupation of the Buddhist Tibetan province by 100 monks has garnered support among their fellow Tibetans, US and International sympathizers, and even among Chinese.
3:03pm Now all of a sudden I have come upon the phrase “cultural genocide.” This is a scary combination of words. The Dalai Llama is in India. He wants an international investigation. My guess is that’s not gonna happen.
3:05pm GREAT China’s trying to control the news. Chinese kids aren’t allowed to go on youtube… which they normally are. FUCK TIBET’S PROBLEMS, CHINESE KIDS ARE BEING DENIED PRECIOUS YOUTUBE TIME. China has condemned the protests, however, which is about the only thing they’ve said so far. This makes me think: “I wish I had the power to powerfully condemn something.”
3:09pm Oh shit, remember the Olympics, and how they’re in China next?
3:10pm “Unwaveringly” “Sovereignty” “Territorial integrity” Ruh roh. People protesting also in: London, Nepal. LOL Some Tibetan turncoat wants the Tibetans to turn themselves in, so they can be treated with leniency. I personally advise against that, Tibetans. China isn’t so friendly to political prisoners. Or prisoners, or politicians or anyone.
3:15pm OH Anniversary protests are a good PR move.
3:17pm Bjork is selfish for feeling bad for the Tibetans.
3:19 A Waste Management official just cam in here and asked me “What’s the deal with the garbage?” and I was like “What garbage?” And she was not happy with that response. The apartment building next to my work is getting a ticket.
3:20 OMG I FUCKING LOVE THE DALAI LLAMA. He came to UB last year and I missed because of work. BUT. He seems really torn up about the protests, and refuses to tell Tibetans to surrender to the Chinese. “I do feel helpless,” he said in response to a question at a wide-ranging, emotionally charged news conference here in what has served as the headquarters of the Tibetan government in exile for nearly 40 years. “I feel very sad, very serious, very anxious. Cannot do anything,” He is so cute, and I feel so bad for him. I can’t imagine being in exile. But yeah. It looks like there have been more than the two reported killings. Sources say as many as 80.
3:35pm Fighting with my boss over how unfair the lunch situation is here. Sometimes I’m not allowed to leave for lunch and I never get a full half hour. Also sometimes I am here all day alone. He says I have a valid point but won’t let the topic go.

If we join hands and work together, we can change our world and make it safer, better and more enjoyable by: stopping human rights abuse, stop civil rights abuse, stop children abuse, children molestation, children murder, stop the abuse of women, stop sexual exploitation of women through pornography movies, stop human trafficking and prostitution, stop domestic violence, stop abuse and destruction of families by Child Protective Services, clean up the foster care system, clean up the children adoption services to cut down on children abuse, stop child sexual molestation, stop bestiality (= is animal rape by animal lovers), stop animal abuse, stop violence in the world, stop crimes in the world, stop the breeding of illegitimate children, stop abuse of women in Islamic world, stop suicide bombing and terrorism using children, work for world peace, prosperity, world health, stop feeding human beings genetically manipulated (GM) food that have not been proven safe, solve environmental pollution problems, stop wars, support green living, stop the spread of nuclear and atomic weapons, stop WMD, stop the infection of human beings with man made viruses, stop injecting children with vaccines that cause autism and mental retardation, stop drugging our children at school, stop allowing big pharma companies to keep peddling dangerous drugs with terrible side effects to human beings, stop tyranny in the world, stop supporting third world dictators and politician who embezzle and loot their countries’ income and resources, causing poverty and misery to their people, make United Nations competent and effective to handle conflicts among nations of the world, protect human beings from UFO abductions and genetic engineering experiments, start monitoring biotechnology activities, raise awareness of biohazard issues, find cure for cancer and other debilitating diseases, stem cell research, diabetic research, start the economic development of developing countries, (World Economic Development WED), stop poverty in the world, solve Middle East problems, help people start their own businesses, create more jobs for people all over the world.
This world is ours and it is our responsibility to take good care of it or we shall lose it and become homeless!!!
