Ambitious Prank: The Legend of Zelda Movie Trailer

When I first started bathing in movie news and updates via the Internet around ten years ago I used to be easily susceptible to foolish pranks. For fellow film geeks, movie websites were notorious for dropping a tidbit of movie news that the public was rock hard waiting to hear, only to find out later it was a malicious prank to help even out the bombastic traditions of April Fool’s.
Today, I’ve grown to become a cynical man. That’s why when making the rounds today online, when I came across the movie trailer for The Legend of Zelda I didn’t let my heart beat any faster. A project that legendary wouldn’t have snuck past my radar. Not now that I’m seasoned veteran in geekdom I knew the score.
Regardless, It’s a pretty ambitious and expensive prank and I admire the good people at IGN for coming up with it.

I loved all of the Legend of Zelda games. I heard about this today and watched the trailer and wish it were more than an April fools joke. Whoever made the video by IGN did a good job.
Ya know what brother, I saw this and knew it was a joke myself, but when all was said and done, I was left with an empty hope, as they did one hell of a job on that preview, Had they cast any real actors to play along with them, I would have busted a nut, and forgotten it was April 1.

I am so disappointed. Zelda was the first video game my kids played and I have watched them grow up playing Zelda. We totally bought into the idea of a movie and you certainly made it believealble. I would love the idea of a real movie and there are millons of fans who would love to see this expanded to a full length feature.
True plans for movie coming august 2010 yay you guys should suck my dick!! hahaha
