The Penny Jam makes out with Portland
April 16, 2008 by seanwhiteman
A recent music project has been gaining a little steam here in Portland. It’s called The Penny Jam and it features local acts performing in an unconventional location (old Greek gym, art gallery, carpet store). We just shot Spanish punk band in a dollar store and that episode will be up in the coming days. We have three that are viewable and two more coming real soon. www.thepennyjam.com

It’s a weekly project so check back if you like what you see. I’m running camera A on the project and editing the final projects. We have a sound engineer, James, who does the final mix and records the sound and another friend, Scott, who created and maintains the website while operating camera B during the shoots.

Bob Dylan has said (in regards to the site): “It’s the best thing I’ve ever fucking seen, and that INCLUDES the Vietnam war!”
